It is an Internet website dedicated to the life and memory of someone who has passed away. The memorial website consists of the following sections and features:
- The life story of the deceased, including a short biography and major events in his or her life. (example)
- Tributes paid and Condolences offered by visitors to the website. (example)
- A photo album, with up to 300 captioned photos. (example)
- Up to 15 audio and video clips. (example)
- Candles lit by visitors to the website who want to remember and cherish the deceased. (example)
- A mailing list of people who would like to be notified whenever the website content is updated.
- His/Her Legacy - articles, stories, speeches, poems and other material created by the deceased. (example)
- His/Her Timeline - a chronological list of important events in your loved one's life, such as graduation, marriage, children, career milestones, achievements and honors, etc. (example)
- A family tree to document family members and link generations together. (example)

| • How can someone access the memorial website? |
The memorial site will be assigned a unique Internet address which includes the name of the deceased, for example john-smith.Memorial Tribute. The site can be accessed directly using this Internet address.

| • Who creates, edits and updates the website content? |
When you create the memorial you will be asked to choose a password, which gives you exclusive access to an easy-to-use tool which you can use to add, change or delete website content.
Visitors to the website will also be able to add some items, such as tributes and memorial candles. As the website manager, you will be able to control the content and make changes if necessary.

| • How long does it take to create a memorial website? |
| It takes approximately two minutes to create the site. Afterwards, you will be able to add and edit content at any time. |
| • How much does it cost to create a memorial website? |
Creating a memorial website is free. It will be hosted free for a period of 2 weeks. If you want the website to endure after the free hosting period expires, you can choose a monthly hosting fee of $4.95/£2.75 or a reduced 12 month hosting fee of $49.95/£27.75 (two months free). A one-time sponsorship fee of just $94.95/£52.75 will ensure that the memorial website will remain online forever (click here for full pricing). As a part of the Library of Life, Memorial Tribute raises funds for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies by making a donation each time a memorial site is sponsored.
